Behind the lens
You want to remember how special your day felt; as a local York wedding photographer, it’s my job to deliver that experience for you.

Meet the Artist

"I trained in graphic design with a strong photography lean, and spent years in advertising before photography became the whole story rather than a supporting skill. Dance came first — my daughters all danced, and photographing their shows led other families to ask for the same — and weddings followed naturally, for all the same reasons: grace, beauty, and an eye that sees the photograph before the camera's even raised. On the day, I'm warm and chatty, but unobtrusive when it counts."

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

My eye for a photograph started long before I picked up a camera professionally — a degree in graphic design, followed by years working in advertising agencies, taught me to see a strong image forming before it's even framed. That instinct carried straight across into weddings: an eye for grace, beauty, and the moment itself, rather than a posed re-creation of it. On the day, I'm warm and chatty, but I know when to fade into the background — so you get natural photographs, not stiff ones. I want your gallery to feel like the day did.

DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY

This side of the business started at home. All three of my daughters danced, and photographing their shows was originally just that — a dad with a camera. Other parents and schools liked what came out of it, and word spread from there. One dance parent summed it up better than I ever could: my photos are "insanely good." What began as photographing my own family's dancing has grown into festivals and theatres across the country, but the eye behind it hasn't changed.

Love Stories
through my lens

Old John - Wedding, Leicestershire

"We knew from the word go we were in good hands, Tony knew what we wanted and
spent time researching and visiting our venue and locations. There were shots we
really wanted at Old John in Bradgate Park which we knew could be impacted by the weather but Tony worked with us and the weather and achieved some absolutely amazing photographs.
It's obvious how passionate Tony is about his photography and soon got the photos online for us to see. The proof magazine he's put together for us is stunning and we know that even now after the wedding he is on hand to help us to get the prints we would like and is keen to offer advice and support."
