As a dance teacher or parent, you know how difficult it can be to get those perfect photos of your young dancers. That's where I come in! I am happy to attend dance shows at no charge, and here's how I usually operate: For DANCE SHOWS, I prefer to shoot the dress rehearsal to capture those impossible shots without an audience, and then shoot one or two live shows. If we can do this all in one, even better!

Shooting the rehearsal is an amazing opportunity to capture the best shots during the show!. Dancers usually give their best performance in front of a full audience, but rehearsal shooting this way allows me to be fully prepared for any particular shots that come up.

Pre-booked Dance Festival  Photography

Payment is taken at the time of booking. Every dance you book gets a minimum of 10 downloadable, fully edited, and cropped photos — many dances get 15 or more. All your photos go into your own private, password-protected online gallery (Federation of Dance prefers this), ready to download or print. Discounted printing is also available directly through your gallery page.

Most event photographers snap everything and then charge you per photo. I do it differently: one price, and you get every edited image from your dance. It really is that simple.

How does this work?

Most festival photographers use a "shoot every dance" approach — but processing that volume takes huge amounts of time, and on average, 70% of parents don't end up buying photos anyway (either because they've already bought elsewhere, or it's simply not in the budget). That's a lot of wasted effort.

With the pre-booked system, we only shoot the dances you've booked — and only edit those. To make sure you get plenty to choose from, we shoot more than usual and upload a minimum of ten photos per dance, often fifteen or more, depending on the performance.

Cost savings

Because pre-booking saves us time, we pass those savings straight on to you. Once you've got your digital photos, you're free to share them on social media, order prints, or get wall art made. At most festivals, you'd pay around £15 for a single 8x6 print — with pre-booking, you can print as many as you like, in any size, from as little as 10p per print at some labs. Every dance you book gets between 10 and 15+ digital photos.

A full price list for the event will be available in the foyer.

How do I download and get prints?

All your photos go straight into your own password-protected gallery, ready for you to download — every single one (your password is on your receipt). Just type in the gallery address or scan the QR code (also on your receipt) to find your gallery, log in, and start downloading. There are plenty of options for getting your photos printed online — Pixaprint.com is a good example, among many others.

Prepaid Dance Show Photography

Due to ongoing issues with securely hosting show photos in online galleries — including the use of AI tools to strip watermarks — we now offer photography exclusively on a pre-paid basis.

For shows and headshot sessions, dancers can take part in our pre-payment scheme. This option works best when the majority of participants sign up, as pricing is calculated based on the total number taking part.

How it works: Each dancer pays a fixed fee (typically £15–£20, depending on numbers) and in return receives full access to download every image from the event as digital files. These can be shared on social media or used to order prints, wall art, and other photo products from any photo lab.

Why this benefits you: Under the previous pay-per-photo system, average spend per show exceeded double this amount — and many parents still went home without every image of their dancer. With the pre-paid scheme, you pay less and receive every edited photo from the event, with no restrictions on use.

We're confident this is the most cost-effective and straightforward option for families, and we encourage full participation to keep pricing as low as possible.

This program has been a huge success for many years, and the best part is that it's completely free for the school.. Not only do they receive a variety of stunning images to use on their website and for promotions, but the parents and dancers also get to keep these precious memories forever. It's truly a win-win situation for everyone!

We love to adapt to the unique ways each dance school operates its shows. Through our experience, we have found a basic way of working that always works like a charm!

Dance School Headshots

Capture your young dancer doing what they love. Every dance parent tells us the same thing: they wish they had more opportunities to capture a beautiful, professional memory of their child's dance journey. Now you can.

How it works

After the shoot, you'll get access to your own password-protected online gallery — browse at your leisure, share with grandparents, friends, or tutors, and choose exactly the images you want. No pressure, no obligation to buy more than you need.

Unbeatable value

The average UK headshot session starts at £125. We bring professional photography directly to your dance school for just £40 per student (minimum of 10 students) — no additional session fee.

What's included:

  • 2 fully-edited digital downloads, included in your £40

  • Want more? Extra downloads are just £15 each — simple, transparent pricing

  • Full access to your private online gallery to view, share, and choose at your own pace

For dance schools

Sessions are held on-site at your school and run smoothly around your schedule. With a minimum of 10 students, this becomes a fantastic, low-hassle addition to your school calendar — and a memory parents will treasure forever.
